Android 4.4.3 Nexus 4 (India):Hand’s On
Google rolled our Android 4.4.3 OTA Update in Bhopal (M.P, India) on my Nexus 4. The update was just of 77.9 MBs and includes a plethora of bug fixes and minor enhancements that will surely improve the user experience for Android smartphone owners. And now we have a changelog.
The over-the-air updates have started rolling out yesterday’s morning. So far we’ve confirmed it’s rolling out for the Nexus 7 2013 (Wifi), Nexus 5 and Google Play editions of the Galaxy S4, HTC One M7 and HTC One M8. We’d expect more Nexus devices (and eventually Google Play editions) to follow with OTAs in the near future, and as always not everyone will get the update immediately. In the meantime, impatient Nexus owners can always fall back on a manual install of the update if they’re feeling adventurous.
Motorola has also announced the rollout of Android 4.4.3 update to Moto X, Moto G and Moto E smartphones. The company has clarified that Moto E users still qualify for the next major Android update. The Moto users may or may not get troubles if they are outside United States.
As per Motorola’s MVP: “the latest software update brings an improved dialer with a new interface and new colours to enhance consistency and usability, several stability, framework, security fixes, and enhancements to the power profile capabilities.”
Well there is an open change log available at Funky Androids. The build for Nexus 4 here is KTu84L.
UI Changes:
Dialer App:
The Dialer have some UIchanges the app now have a more cleaner and more flat display with a slightly dark tint in its blue colour.
Favourites/Frequents:
Now the favourites screen of your Android device is also changed with a new more intrusive and flatter display giving you a more gmail like feel..
Contacts app:
The Contact app also updated well nothing much to say a new UI giving a gmail mobile app feeling.
Well the update seemed totally focused towards the contacts and dialer apps in terms of UI. We hope that this update stops the frequent battery drain and increases the phone’s performance. All those who haven’t got there updates yet
Goto: Settings–>Apps–>All Apps –>Google Play Framework.
And Force Stop it and then Clear its Data, Restart your phone and again check for updates.
