Well today streaming Netflix on an international flight may seem a distant dream but Gogo is planning to make it happen soon. Gogo with its new 2Ku technology promises to give 70 Mbps peak internet speed — i.e. seven times more than what it can do now. It will work via a system of Ku-band and satellite antennas similar to what GTO tech will be launching soon in north american flights. Along with improved WiFi speed it will also bring better access to the remote areas and airline fuel savings , thanks to lower drag. Trial will being soon on international launch partner Japan Airlines, with a full scale launch in mid 2015
